Many people are torn as to the car they need to invest in next, should they want to take advantage of ever-improving deals from new car dealers like Evans Halshaw . One model that has proved to be particularly popular among reviewers is the Ford Fiesta Titanium 1.6 Ti-VCT Duratec, which seems to be yet another flag-bearer of the user-friendly American marque.

The ever-irrepressible Guardian columnist Sam Wollaston - who gives excellent colour commentaries regarding the newest models available across the UK - was quick to give his opinion of the Fiesta, despite noting that the model itself has long been a bog-standard go-to for individuals and families alike. Explaining that impressive cars for him are either cute, fast or stately, he explained: "The humble Ford Fiesta manages to stand out without being any of those things. Well, stand out a bit - I mean it's notgoing to turn many heads. But I do really like it, and it's not often I think that about a car. That's it, it's a very likable car."

Priced at £14,595 and offering a top speed of 121mph, the Fiesta 1.6 Ti-VCT Duratec offers 0-62mph acceleration in a surprisingly fast 8.7 seconds and an average fuel consumption of 48.7mpg. What's more, it has CO2 emissions of 134g/km, giving it an eco-rating of 7/10 in Wollaston's Guardian piece .

He was particularly taken with the reversing camera that is fitted in the rear-view mirror, which comes at an extra £475 - a nice addition to those living in the city who require a greater insight into their parking.

With this model, beyond any other that has come before it, Ford has focused heavily on the driveability of the Fiesta. Claiming that it's always been "delightfully responsive" anyway, Ford has fitted it with a stiffer body structure and improved aerodynamics, providing handling that is sportier and more dynamic than ever to create "an altogether more sophisticated driving experience". Electric power-assisted steering - known as EPAS - also gives firmer steering for more control at higher speeds.

Safety-wise, the Fiesta grabbed a five-star Euro NCAP review for adult occupancy, given the extensive protective technology. The special Intelligent Protection System delivers "incredible levels of occupant safety" and combines this with an array of airbags, whiplash-avoiding seatbelts as well as ISOFIX child seat attachments to make it perfect for all the family.

So, get yourself down to your local dealership and look at the Ford Fiesta Titanium 1.6 Ti-VCT Duratec - it could be the perfect car for you.
