The prancing horse is presenting the initial facts referring to the 2013 Ferrari California, with this updated version scheduled to premiere at the Geneva Motor Show next month.
There are no visual changes applied to this revised version, however the car will come with a 30 Kg lighter body due to the updated chassis developed with the company’s "cutting-edge aluminium fabrication techniques and construction technologies", plus a 30 HP boost in performance.
This means the 4.3 litre GDI V8 powering the 2013 Ferrari California will deliver 490 horses and 505 Nm of torque at 5,000 rpm, figures which will help it dismiss the 0 to 100 Km/h sprint in 3.8 seconds. The boost is enabled by the new exhaust manifolds and the remapped ECU.
The 2013 Ferrari California will also be offered with the new Handling Speciale package which includes faster reacting magnetorheological dampers, stiffer springs and a new steering box that will enable a 10 percent quicker steering ratio.
