The Dieselgate is not over! According to a report published by Associated Press, Volkswagen of America has informed U.S. regulators the 2016MY cars equipped with the 2.0 TDI engine also have the illegal software.

According to that report, the software is named an “auxiliary emissions control device" and it is different than the one installed on the EA 189 engines.

According to preliminary info, the new software is capable of making the pollution control catalyst heat up quicker. As a result, the device that is responsible for separating the NOx into harmless nitrogen and oxygen gasses will work faster and better.
