Opel has officially unveiled the all-new Astra TCR. Set to compete in the TCR (Touring Car Racing) Series, Opel’s track-only Astra was co-developed with the guys from Kissling Motorsport.

The new Opel Astra TCR is 1.200 kilograms and has an aggressive body kit which has been aerodynamically optimized. According to Opel, the new Astra TCR has an adjustable front splitter, a new rear spoiler and a great braking system. 

Under the bonnet of the 2015 Opel Astra TCR is a 2.0 liter turbocharged engine rated at 330 horsepower and 420 Nm peak of torque. The engine power is sent to the front wheels via a six speed sequential transmission equipped with paddles. 

More than that, the new Opel Astra TCR has a fully adjustable chassis and a special dumper technology. 

Customer teams willing to pay €95,000 (plus VAT) will start getting the cars from late February next year.
