Volkswagen has officially unveiled the all-new Polo 1.0 TSI BlueMotion version with improved fuel efficiency and reduced emissions. As you may already know, this is the first time BlueMotion technology meets the petrol unit.

Engine

Under the hood, the Polo comes with a 1.0-liter gasoline engine with 95 horsepower and 160 Nm peak of torque. Thanks to the new technologies, the car can return 4.1 liters per 100 kilometers (57 mpg) and 94 grams of CO2 per kilometer. Even though we are talking about an efficient BlueMotion version,  the car is still able to run up to 190 km/h (118 mph).

Fuel Efficiency

To achieve this new fuel consumption figure, the Polo 1.0 TSI BlueMotion comes with improved aerodynamics, low resistance tires and a lowered ride height. In addition, the transmission has longer gear ration in the upper stages while the start-stop and the regenerative braking system are on duty. Last, but not least is a gear change indicator.
