Skoda is extending the current range of the Fabia with the introduction of the popular Monte Carlo edition, also found on the old generation model.

Exterior

As in the previous case, the Fabia Monte Carlo will be available in both body versions – hatchback and estate. The new Monte Carlo package, based on the SE, brings a sporty interior and a wide range of features. Among them we notice the black roof, black gloss 16- or 17-inch ‘Trinity’ alloy wheels, black gloss door mirrors and wheel arches, optional sports suspension, tinted rear and rear side windows and a tinted panoramic glass roof.

Interior

The interior offers a three-spoke sports leather steering wheel, black interior and sports seats with individual design.

Drivetrain

No word on the Fabia Monte Carlo engines specs, but we expect all new generation Fabia engines will be offered.  That includes the 1.2 litre TSI petrol engine and a 1.6 litre TDI diesel.  Most likely all mated with a five-speed manual transmission.  The engine range details available for the new Skoda Fabia Monte Carlo will be announced later this year.

Debut

The new Fabia Monte Carlo will be unveiled during next month Geneva Motor Show, along other important premieres like the new generation Superb and the Skoda Octavia vRS 230, a special edition of the sporty saloon.  European sales of the new Monte Carlo edition will likely begin in the fall.
