The Czech car manufacturer Skoda has managed to hit another milestone. Today, the Mlada Boleslav officials have announced that the second generation of Fabia has reached 1.5 millionth units produced. The current Skoda Fabia was launched in 2007 and is available in four versions and special editions.
The most frugal version of the Fabia is the GreenLine edition. It can do 100 kilometers with just 3.4 liters of diesel and the CO2 emissions are clocked at 88 grams per kilometer. More than that, Skoda offers the Monte Carlo special edition, which marks the brand 112 years in history of motorsports.
As a reminder, the first generation of Skoda Fabia was launched in 1999 and was sold in 1.788.063 units.
"Producing 1.5 million vehicles since 2007 is proof of the outstanding development of the Fabia and indicates how well the customers perceive the current generation. In Europe and other international markets, the Fabia is our best-selling model after the Octavia and a cornerstone of our growth," said Skoda CEO Winfried Vahland.
