Singer Vehicle Design, a Californian company specialized in transforming Porsche 911’s has come with a new project. It is called Singer Singer Porsche 911 Turbo Study Cabriolet and, just like any other Singer, it is based on the 964 911.

But like the new Turbo Study, the model comes with an exterior heavily inspired by the 930 Turbo.

And, as a first for the company, this new project is a convertible one.

“The first Porsche, the Sport 356/1 known as ‘Number 1,’ was a cabriolet, and high-performance, open-roof glamor has been part of the story ever since. I’ve long wanted to celebrate that part of Porsche heritage at Singer and doing so as part of our recently announced Turbo Study seems a perfect place to start. Our goal with the Turbo Study is to distill the awesome thrill of Porsche’s first supercar while reimagining its performance and refinement. We’re excited that owners can now choose to enjoy these traits with the roof down”, said Singer founder Rob Dickenson.

The car comes with a flat six 3.8 liter engine which was tweaked to deliver 510 horsepower. The engine is matted to a six speed manual transmission.

A few weeks ago, Singer has announced that it won’t be taking any more Classic orders. Starting this year, the company will build the Turbo Study.
