Volvo has just released details with their all-new 4-cylinder 2-litre GTDi engine that will power the S80, S70 and XC60 models, offering both performance and efficiency. The Mazda Axela-Mazda3 and Biante Special Editions have been launched today in Japan as the automaker is celebrating its 90th anniversary. Both Mazda Axela-Mazda3 and Biante Special Editions qualify for Japan’s eco-car program with a 75% tax reduction and will feature Mazda’s award winning i-stop system. On the 90th annyiersary Mazda Biante based on the 20CS model grade the automaker will also offer Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) and Mazda’s Advanced Keyless Entry System. Peugeot 308 CC 1.6 litre Turbo
The French manufacturer has developed a new engine and transmission for the Peugeot 308. The new engine is a 1.6-litre Euro 5 compliant turbo-charged petrol while the new AT6 gearbox is a six-speed automatic designed by Aisin AW. The Peugeot 308 CC THP 156 packs 156 BHP and takes 9.8 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph, which is 2.6 seconds faster than old version (THP 140). The AT6 transmission weights less and is more compact with a more efficient torque converter that reduces friction. GM will sell SAAB to Spyker
General Motors has finally reached an agreement with Spyker CARS NV today on the purchase of Saab Automobile AB. GM will sell SAAB to Spyker and the American manufacturer says the Swedish government has also work very hard by creating a deal that “would secure a sustainable future for this unique and iconic brand”. Also as part of the agreement Spyker will form a new company that will be named Saab Spyker Automobiles and responsible for carrying the Saab brand forward.
