Toyota has put a price tag on the 2012 edition models Highlander and FJ Cruiser.

Even though the company’s SUVs remain unchanged in terms of design the 2012 Toyota FJ Cruiser now cost 200 USD more than the 2011 model, probably due to today’s economic environment. This means that that FJ Cruiser starts at 25,990 USD for the five-speed automatic two-wheel-drive model and at 27,580 USD for the all-wheel-drive 4×4 version which comes fitted with a V6 plant under the hood.

Sales for the new Aventador have started not to long ago and Lamborghini is already announcing a new super sports car for the upcoming 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show.

The announcement was made through a teaser image that was published today which reads ‘Lamborghini – Racing Towards Frankfurt’ and which also mentions the fact that we’ll have an official press release on the 13th of September.

Mazda will bring the 2012 MX5 at this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show, but untill then the Japanese company is offering a preview of their compact crossover SUV featuring the latest SKYACTIV TECHNOLOGY and the ‘KODO – Soul of Motion’ design language.

According to the company, the 2012 Mazda CX5 will be launched with new gasoline and diesel engines, new manual and automatic transmissions and with a newly developed body and chassis. All these features enable a high quality ride, maximize safety and increase efficiency, and at this point the automaker has only mentioned that the European spec model will make use of Mazda’s SKYACTIV-G 2.0 gasoline engine and SKYACTIV-D 2.2 diesel engine, with the later targeting CO2 emissions of below 120 grammes per Km.

MINI is launching the Soho limited edition based on the hatch and convertible models. This new version wants to capture the success achieved with the MINI Soho Clubman edition last year and is part of the automaker’s plan of introducing special editions named after London boroughs, districts, streets and landmarks.

The MINI Soho will be available for both the Cooper and Cooper D models, with sales stretching from July until March 2012.

Mugen’s Japanese division has unveiled the Honda CRZ MUGEN RR, a design concept produced for show purposes which brags about the company’s capabilities in terms of “function, style, performance and agility”.

At the exterior the Honda CRZ MUGEN RR features a number of bespoke prototype parts made from carbon fiber which include the bonnet, passenger doors and rear tailgate, plus a full length carbon-fiber under-body, two centrally positioned exhaust pipes, vented front bumpers and a race derived suspension.

The Blue Oval announces the the expansion of the Focus range with the arrival of the new Ford Focus Studio, set to go on sale across the UK in September.

The Ford Focus Studio replaces the outgoing Sport version and will be available for ’61-plate’ customers starting from 13,995 GBP.

The car will be offered with the 5-door hatchback body and a 1.6-litre Ti-VCT petrol engine under the bonnet capable of delivering 85 PS and responsible for the car’s combined fuel economy figure of 47.9 mpg.

GM took its new ZL1 at the Camaro Homecoming Event in Oshawa, Canada, where the brand’s fans could actually touch the car and see what this high-performance coupe is all about in person.

Volkswagen is presenting their Temporary Auto Pilot (TAP) through a video that shows how this new system really works on the road.

According to the company the Temporary Auto Pilot can be engaged at speeds of up to 80 mph, and apart from controlling the steering wheel, it can also adapt to various traffic scenarios. For example it can prevent the car from braking the speed limits, it can prevent overtaking from the right, and it can also apply heavy braking in case of emergency.

This kit can apply to both the hard top and the roadster version and consists of a lightweight aluminium coilover suspension with Littronic technology which raises both axles by up to 40 mm at the push of a button.
