The technology driven Germans working at Aplina have finished their working on the new B6 BiTurbo Coupe based on the 2012 BMW 6 Series.

The car uses an all-aluminium V8 with two parallel turbochargers, specially developed exhaust turbines, a high performance cooling system plus a titanium exhaust system from Akrapovic, and as a result it now delivers 540 HP (397 kW) at 5,500 rpm anf 700 Nm of torque from 3,000 rpm.

The G-POWER X6 M TYPHOON, the name of the new wide body kit conversion developed by the well known German tuners for the BMW X6 M.

What does this kit bring ? well PU RIM components developed through CAD technology such as wider wheel arches matched by 7 cm wider inner panels, a redesigned front skirt with large air intakes, a carbon fiber VENTURI hood that helps coll the engine compartment, resculpted side sills, a roof spoiler and a multi piece rear spoiler, a custom rear bumper with an integrated diffuser and a centrally positioned stainless steel sports silencer with two 114 mm in diameter tailpipes.

Here is the second concept unveiled by Honda in Tokyo – the Micro Commuter.

This time we’re talking about a small vehicle that measures 2,500 in length, 1,250 mm in width and 1,430 mm in height, with a 1,860 mm long wheelbase and power provided by 16.7 kW electric motor.

The electric motor is backed by a 3.3 kWh lithium-ion battery pack which in terms of performance will enable a cruising range of 60 Km, a top speed of 60 Km/h and a 0 to 60 Km/h acceleration time of 7.4 seconds.

During the first press day at the 2011 Tokyo Motor Show, Honda had unveiled the AC-X Concept, just the first of a total of three concepts that will be showcased in the Japanese capital.

The AC-X is an abbreviation from “Advanced Cruiser Experience” and is a plug-in hybrid sedan powered by a 1.6-litre 4-cylinder engine and two electric motors that aims at making urban and long-distance motoring less stressful.

Developed as a new generation sports wagon for the C segment, the Subaru ATC features an innovative exterior design combined with the automaker’s next generation Power Unit System. This system combines a 1.6 liter Horizontally-Opposed direct fuel injection turbo engine with a continuously variable Lineartronic transmission and Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive.

The facelift versions 2012 Renault Scenic and Renault Grand Scenic have just been revealed by the French car company. These new MPV models are going to hit the European market in January next year with pricing starting at 21,350 Euros for the Scenic and at 24,850 Euros for the Grand Scenic.

Featuring a revised front fascia, new rear lights and a series of touches that make them look more dynamic, the 2012 Renault Scenic and Renault Grand Scenic have also been fitted with LED daytime running lights, various glossy black and chromed details and a new range of wheels.

Audi has unveiled an unique A1 model inspired from the Japanese national soccer team at this year’s 42nd edition Tokyo Motor Show.

The German automaker calls this one-off model the Audi A1 Samurai Blue and apart from the combination of blue and white colours the car has also been fitted with red-painted 18-inch polygonal design wheels and a black interior featuring blue contrasting stitching and colorful accents for the air vents, inlays, center console and floor mats.

Remember Honda talking about a Small Sports EV being unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show this year? Well here it is – it is named the EV-STER and it measures 3,570 mm in length, 1,500 mm in width, 1,100 mm in height and it features 2,325 mm long wheelbase.

The Honda EV-STER Concept is a rear-wheel-drive electric two-seater convertible fitted with a twin-lever steering which “was adopted for the thorough pursuit of the joy of driving”, and which makes use of materials such as carbon finer in order to keep its weight down.

After unveiling the production version BRZ sports coupe in Tokyo yesterday, Subaru has also pulled the wraps off the motorsports derivative called the BRZ GT300.

Scheduled to participate in the 2012 Super GT Series, this racing version BRZ is wider and lower the the standard car plus it is fitted with all the racing ‘ameneties’ demanded for competing in the GT300 class.

Apart from the motorsports derived body kit the BRZ GT300 is also fitted with racing wheels and tires, while the engine is most probably a 2.0-litre Boxer which has been tuned to produce 300 horses.

Subaru’s 2+2 coupe has been officially unveiled today at th 42nd edition Tokyo Motor Show. To mark this event the Japanese car maker has published new photos and a promo video that give us an even clearer view of what the production version looks like.

Thanks to these new images we also get to see the Subaru BRZ interior which, to no one’s surprise, looks almost identical to the Toyota GT 86.
