We have new details that involve the newly launched Pagani Huayra. These details come from Mr. Pagani himself who, in a recent interview with Autoblog.com.ar mentioned his initial preference of naming the new supercar the ‘Da Vinci’. Because this name was already registered he went with the Huayra, which as you probably know by now, holds different meanings.
More interestingly thought, Mr. Horacio Pagani has confirmed during the same interview the company’s plans of developing the Pagani Huayra Roadster. He said that the Roadster will arrive in approximately three years, which means we won’t be able to see it sooner than 2014.
The Pagani Huayra Roadster will most likely use the same 6.0-litre biturbo AMG source V12 powerplant, which means its power levels will reach 700 HP and 1000 Nm of torque.
As far as the hardtop model sales are going pretty well, considering that the company’s has already collected 60 orders in no more than three weeks.
