In the automatic mode, there is an electro-hydraulic actuator that takes over shifting and clutching operations. According to Opel, the transmission electronics automatically select the most fuel-efficient gear for prevailing driving conditions enabling super-economical driving.

The new automated manual transmission will come with the naturally aspirated 1.4 liter petrol unit rated at 87 horsepower. According to Opel, the engine can consume just 4.7 liters per 100 kilometers with 109 grams of CO2 per km.
