For this week’s shootout the guys from Fifth Gear decided to test the Mini Cooper S vs the VW Scirocco 2.0. Even though at first they might seem two innocent looking cars, they proved to be quite agile on the race track. The Mini Cooper S is powered by a supercharged 1.6 liter engine that outputs 175 hp while the Scirocco has a 2 liter engine that packs 197 hp pretty much the same as an Volkswagen GTI. The 22 hp difference between the two competitors could make you believe that the Scirocco will be an easy winner but the truth is both cars performed really well and they came as close as having only a 0.07 seconds difference after completing one full lap on the race track.
