The latest rumors involving Daimler mention that the German automaker is preparing an Audi RS3 and BMW M1 competitor based on the Mercedes F800 Concept presented in Geneva earlier this month.
This new small saloon is apparently named the C117 EVO and will fit in the AMG lineup under the future C63 AMG model.
The Mercedes F800 C117 EVO AMG will extract power from a 3.6-litre V6 engine fitted with a special pressure operated supercharger that will help the car reach a total output of around 400 bhp.
Even thought these details haven’t been officially confirmed yet, the Mercedes F800 C117 EVO AMG will most probably use a 7-speed double-clutch transmission which will send power to all four wheels.
With the future Mercedes F800 C117 EVO AMG the company is also hoping to attract younger buyers.
