Mercedes is currently working on the new CLA Shooting Brake model, scheduled to be the fourth body variant of the A-Class.
Recent spy shots confirm the car is making final tests and is ready to make a debut at the beginning of next year. German media is reporting that order books for the 2015 Mercedes CLA Shooting Brake will open January 15th, which means that we can expect a world public debut during next year Detroit Motor Show.
Built on the same front wheel drive platform as the A-Class, B-Class, CLA and GLA, the Shooting Brake version will use the same four cylinder gasoline and diesel engines.
As the CLS Shooting Brake is offered with an AMG version, we can expect that even the smaller CLA Shooting Brake to offer a model developed by Affalterbach division. This means that the Mercedes CLA AMG Shooting Brake will have the same 2.0 liter engine seen on its brothers, developing 360 hp and 450 Nm.

The new Mercedes CLA Shooting Brake will also be roomier than the A-Class and CLA. the luggage compartment will probably offer more than 500 liters, considering that the current CLA offers 450 liters.
Prices are expected to top $30,000 USD when the car reaches US showrooms.
