McLaren is celebrating one of company’s greatest motorsport achievements: victory on its first attempt in the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Back in 1995, the #59 McLaren F1 GTR won the famous andurance race with JJ Lehto, Yannick Dalmas and Masanori Sekiya behind the wheel. Thanks to that victory, McLaren has become the car manufacturer to hold the Triple Crown of Motorsport (victory in Le Mans, Monaco F1 Grand Prix and Indy 500).

Today, the British car manufacturer is celebrating this achievement with a special edition of the current 720S. The car is simply named 720S Le Mans and features the following: McLaren Orange or Sarthe Grey exterior paint, Ueno Grey painted body side lower, rear bumper and front bumper lower, a McLaren 25 anniversary Le Mans logo on body side panel, a gloss black roof scoop with polycarbonate rear glazing, carbon fibre louvred front fenders and special 5-spoke LM wheels.

In Europe, McLaren will sell only 16 720S Le Mans units, while the total production will be limited to 50 units.

The McLaren 720S Le Mans is available to purchase now, from £254,500, with first deliveries in September.
