Mazda will use this year Los Angeles Motor Show to introduce its competitior to the small SUV market, a very crowded segment, where we already have important names like Nissan Juke, Honda HR-V, Jeep Renegade, Fiat 500X and Peugeot 2008.

The new Mazda model will be positioned under the current CX-5 and it will be called CX-3. The car will use the Kodo Soul of Motion design language, but with a more aggressive approach.

In its official press release, the Japanese manufacturer talks about a design that has been evolved to produce a sharper form with an enhanced sense of speed.

The new CX-3 will use the current Mazda2 platform and engine configuration. This means SkyActiv technology for the small SUV, includes new SkyActiv transmissions and engines.

Along the new CX3, Mazda will showcase during this year Los Angeles Motor Show the all new MX-5 Miata. It will be the North American debut for the small roadster. Built to thrill, the new Mazda MX-5 will be offered in the US only with the 2.0 liter gasoline engine.
