Maserati is one of the car manufacturers that managed to reach a level of awarness thanks to motorsport. The story of Maserati started in the first part of the 20th Century with the Targa Florio win, while one of the most impressive things done by the Italians were in 1957 in Formula 1 (Juan Manuel Fangion won the world championship with a Maserati 250F).

But Maserati is ready for a new era: the electrified one. According to the Italians officials, Maserati will compete in Formula E starting 2023 season.

“The Maserati brand today is going back to the future, going back to its roots of racing,” said Maserati CEO Davide Grasso in a call to select media on Monday.
