Maserati will reveal their first SUV at the Detroit Motor Show, the event which will kick off in January 2016. Even though we know that the Maserati Levante, because this will be the name of the SUV, will look like the Kubang concept, now we have the proof.

The design patents have been uploaded by our colleagues from Autoguide. We see that the Levante will adopt a new front fascia with restyled headlights, special fog lights and a unique air intake. The sides of the car looks just like the ones seen on the Kubang, while at the rear we have spotted conventional taillights, a special tailgate and a four-tailpipe exhaust configuration.

Under the hood of the Maserati Levante we will see three different engines. The diesel one is a V6 3.0 liter unit with outputs of 250 PS (184 kW), 275 PS (202 kW) and 340 PS (250 kW).

On the gasoline side we have a V6 3.0 liter unit that can deliver 350 or 425 horsepower. The range-topping version is a V8 4.2 liter unit with more than 560 horsepower.
