Land Rover has published the first official teaser picture of the new Discovery. The British model is scheduled to debut on September 28, with one day ahead of the Paris Motor Show.

The new Land Rover Discovery is coming with a new and fresh look. The model comes with a lot of influences from the current Discovery Sport and also has some styling cues seen on the 2014 Discovery Vision Concept.

"The new Discovery redefines the large SUV. Land Rover’s design and engineering teams have revolutionized the Discovery DNA to create a highly desirable, extremely versatile, and hugely capable premium SUV”, said chief design officer Gerry McGovern.

The new Land Rover Discovery will be more mature and more elegant but it will offer the same rugged look. If you are not happy with the standard version, there are rumors that says the Special Vehicle Operations division will come with a hardcore off-road variant.

Inside the cabin the new Land Rover Discovery will feature a new layout which will be based on the 10.2 inch touchscreen display and on the InControl Touch Pro infotainment system.

Under the hood, the Land Rover Discovery will come with the same 3.0 liter petrol and diesel engines but you should also expect some new Ingenium units.
