Kia will use this year Los Angeles Motor Show, set to open its gates tommorow, to unveil the new Forte sedan. It is the north-american version of the current K3 model, already launched in South Korea this September and scheduled to reach Brazilian market next year, under the name Cerato. It is also the same name used in Europe.

Except their names, the other differences between the Forte, the K3 and the Cerato concern the equipment packages, the interior and exterior décor and trims, and the available powertrains.

There is no information regarding the US engine range, but we could wxpect to know them as soon as the car is unveiled in LA Motor Show.

The new Forte measures 179.5 inches (4,560 mm) long, 70.1 inches (1,780 mm) wide and 56.5 inches (1,435 mm) tall, which makes it 1.2 inches (30 mm) longer, 0.2 inches (5mm) wider and 1 inch (25mm) lower than the car it replaces.

The rear passengers should benefit from the wheelbase increase in size. It has grown by around 2 inches (51mm) to 106.3 inches (2,700mm).
