The factory prepped Focus ST-R racer is a machine designed for competing in events such as the Grand-Am ST, World Challenge TC and Canadian Touring Car Series, but is its 98,995 USD price tag well justified?
Perhaps this is the exact reason why the North American company felt it should release a presentation video, so potential customers would really understand what they get in return.
The Ford Focus SR-T comes with a 2.0-litre EcoBoost engine and a 6-speed manual gearbox connected to a Ford Racing clutch. The car delivers 247 HP (184 kW) and apart from its 18 inch BBS wheels wrapped in racing tires, bigger brakes, sports-tuned/lowered suspension and a limited slip diff, Ford’s engineers have also fitted it with a roll cage, a Recaro seat and all the necessary radio gear.
And engine ECU remapping program and a less restrictive exhaust are also part of the treatment, but we suggest you to follow the jump and listen to Andy Vrenko explain all that into grater detail.
