BMW will return this year to the endurance series with a new queen-class prototype. It is named the BMW M Hybrid V8 and it was developed according to the LMDh regulations.

But you don’t have to bother with this. All you have to know is that this M Hybrid V8 will be able to compete in both the IMSA and WEC endurance series,  including the famous 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The new BMW M Hybrid V8 will have its maiden race at the beginning of 2023, and the Germans will race two units. For next year’s IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, the cars will be driven by Connor De Phillippi, Philipp Eng, Augusto Farfus, and Nick Yelloly. In addition, another pilot who will be involved in the 24 Hours of Daytona is IndyCar driver Colton Herta.
