Everybody knows Theophilus Chins. After the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, out gifted designer has imagined a couple of upcoming models. The first one is the BMW i8 Spyder. The convertible version of the i8 hybrid sports car will use the same technology and design but it will lose the roof. 

The BMW i8 coupe costs 135.000 USD and we think that the upcoming Spyder version will have a price tag of 150.000 US Dollars. Under the hood there will be the same hybrid power train that will come with a 1.5 liter three cylinder petrol unit with 231 horsepower and 320 Nm peek of torque.

The combustion engine is backed up by an electric one who can offer 131 HP. The total output is 362 HP and 570 Nm peek of torque. The BMW i8 can sprint from stand still to 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds, while the convertible version will be able to accelerate to the same speed in 4.5 or 4.6 seconds. 

Speaking of performances, the coupe is having a fuel consumption of approximately 2.5 liters per 100 kilometers and it manages to run in electric mode for 35 kilometers.
