The Bavarian car manufacturer released the first videos with the newly introduced BMW ActiveHybrid 7 Series and X6. The two models are the company’s first hybrid drive vehicles that are powered by systems composed from a regular combustion engine and one or two electric motors.

To be exact the BMW ActiveHybrid 7 Series uses a gasoline V8 powerplant linked to an electric motor, and the total system output of 465 HP is put to the ground via a eight-speed automatic transmission.

As for the BMW ActiveHybrid X6 power comes from a gasoline V8 engine that uses two turbochargers and two electric motors. Total output this time is 480 HP and 575 lb-ft of torque.
