Audi has announced that it will reveal a new generation of its 2.0 TFSI engine tomorrow at the Vienna Motor Symposium. For now we don’t have lots of details but we can tell you for sure that the new 2.0 TFSI unit will come with innovative combustion principle that will make it especially efficient in real-life operating conditions.

More than that, the German car manufacturer has also said that the new generation of its engine will be the most efficient two liter gasoline unit in its class. Honestly this is a hard affirmation but we are pretty sure that it will be followed by great results.

“We have been presenting our new drive technologies here regularly since 2009. One highlight was the four-cylinder TFSI with gasoline direct injection and turbocharging, which went on to become a successful engine worldwide following its introduction in 2007. The innovations that we are now showcasing in Vienna will add to this success story", said Stefan Knirsch, Audi powertrain development chief.
