Audi is extending the engine options for the current A3 with a new petrol version, set to be called ultra. We remind you that the Ultra loo is the same as the BlueMotion in Volkswagen`s range.

As you would expect, the version will try to lay accent on efficiency. The new A3 ultra fetures a 1.4 liter TFSI engine, delivering 150 hp. It is enough to ensure a 0 to 62 mph sprint in just 8.1 seconds and a top speed of 220 km/h.

But, even with this performances, the car can deliver an average fuel economy of just 4.7 liter to 100 km and CO2 emission of 109 g/km. This is possible with the help of cylinder on demand technology.

The Ultra range will also receive a diesel version on the current A3 Sedan. The Ingolstadt manufacturer will introduce the new diesel, delivering 110 hp, can ensure an average consumption of 3.3 liter/100 km and a CO2 emission of 88 g/km.
