Following the recent announcement of its entry for both the 2013 Le Mans 24 Hours and this year’s European Le Mans Series, Signatech-Alpine today presented the endurance racing prototype that will defend Alpine’s colors this season at L’Atelier Renault in Paris, France.

The car named N°36 was designed to compete in the LMP2 class and it comes with an aerodynamic design dominated by a carbon fiber front splitter and a massive rear spoiler.

Under the hood there is a Nissan 5.0 liter V8 engine that can output 500 HP. The engine resources are put to the ground via a six-speed X-Trac transmission that can enable the 900 kg race car to a top speed of 330 km/h.
