The new generations Volkswagen Golf receives its first tuning kit. The compact segment best-seller gets a little more aggressive thanks to ABT’s list of modifications, that includes both mechanical and aesthetic upgrades.

On the outside, the German hatchback receives a new front grille, a revised spoiler, mirror caps, side skirts and headlight covers. At the back, 2013 Golf receives a new apron and four chromed tailpipes. 18 and 19 inch alloy wheels round up the package.

Under the bonnet, ABT offers five power upgrades, starting even with the smallest unit. The 1.2 TFSI engine can deliver 105 hp, 25 more than the standard version. There’s also a 25 hp upgrade for the 140 hp TFSI engine, increasing its output to 165 hp.

For the basic diesel engine, equipped with a 1.6 liter TDI engine, the output reaches 125 hp from the standard 105 hp. The more powerful version, delivering 184 hp in standard, can be tuned to offer 210 hp.

All these power upgrades come along with a new sporty suspension.
