Skoda has published some pictures with the upcoming Superb. The new model is supposed to be unveiled in November, but until than let’s hear some of the technical details of the car.

First, the car will be available as a liftback and as a combi version. It is bigger compared to the current generation, which means one important thing: the trunk can now accomodate up to 645 liters (or 680 litres in the Combi version). There is also more space for passengers.

Under the hood, the new Superb will use petrol, diesel and PHEV arrangements.

The entry level will have a mild-hybrid 1.5 liter TSI engine with 150 horsepower. It is followed by a 2.0 TSI with 201 HP or 261 HP. The diesel is available in two flavours: 2.0 liter with 150 or 190 HP.

The top of the line is a plug-in hybrid. This one uses a 1.5 liter petrol unit and an electric motor to deliver 201 HP. Thanks to a 25.7 kWh battery pack, the car will be able to deliver over 100 kilometres of pure electric range.
