A couple of weeks ago, Ford had officially unveiled at the 2015 North American International Auto Show the new 2017 F-150 Raptor. At that time, we knew that the actual V8 6.2 liter engine will deliver less power than the upcoming V6 3.5 liter EcoBoost.

Now, the company’s Global Product Development Vice President Raj Nair has confirmed that the new motor can deliver 450 horsepower. It will be matted to a 10-speed automatic transmission and will have a new four-wheel drive system. Thanks to the use of aluminum, the car is 500 pounds (227 kilograms) lighter than its predecessor.

Exterior

On the outside, we see a prominent mesh grille with special light and a rugged front bumper. In addition, Ford has installed LED headlights, sliver skid plates and extender fender flares. More than that, the 17-inch alloy wheels are wrapped in special BFGoodrich All-Terrain KO2. Last, but not least is an exclusive dual exhaust system.
