Ford has announced that the production of the RHD (right-hand drive) Ford Mustang has begun in Michigan, North America at the Flatrock Assembly Plant. According to the Blue Oval officials, almost 2.000 UK customers have already paid for their Mustangs.

The orders have been received since January and this is for the first time in history when the car will be available in a right-hand configuration.

According to the same source, 80% of customers have opted for the fastback body style and 70% of them have selected the 416 horsepower 5.0 liter V8 engine over the 317 HP 2.3 liter EcoBoost unit.
