Fiat is extending its UK range with the introduction of a new model, designed to appeal to customers who want a sportier package, combined with an attractive price, starting at £12,950 and already available to order.

The new Fiat 500S has been restyled with new sports bumpers front and rear, special side skirts and a rear spoiler, while the door handles, tailgate, “moustache”, mirror fairings and 15-inch alloy wheels finished in exclusive “Satin Graphite”.

The Fiat 500S is also equipped with front fog lamps, tinted rear windows, a chrome-finish tailpipe, black-grained front air intakes and an eye-catching honeycomb grille. The standard 15-inch alloy wheels with their special “Satin Graphite” finish, and the optional 16-inch alloy wheels with a matt-black diamond treatment, are both new to the range while the colour palette has grown to include Electronica Blue metallic and Marching Green matte.

Inside, the new Fiat 500S is enhanced by black sport seats and a black roof lining which contrast with the door panels and seat edges, which are finished in blue, white or yellow. “Satin Graphite” detailing also features on the dashboard fascia and the special sports steering wheel and the interior can also be trimmed in optional Frau leather with white or light blue details. A full-colour, seven-inch TFT instrument display is standard on the new 500S, while the Fiat 500S Convertible adds an electric canvas roof with a heated glass rear window.

Four engines power the Fiat 500S so there’s a version for every taste and budget: The 69 hp 1.2-litre petrol and the 85hp 0.9 TwinAir petrol are both available with a five-speed manual or optional five-speed Dualogic automated manual transmission, while the 105 hp 0.9 TwinAir petrol is fitted with a 6-speed manual as standard. Fiat remains the only brand to offer diesel-powered cars – Fiat 500, Fiat 500S and Fiat Panda – in the segment and the 95 hp 1.3 litre MultiJet II in the 500S employs the best of today’s small diesel engineering technology to reduce emissions to just only 89 grams of CO2 per kilometre and offer an official combined-cycle fuel efficiency figure of 83.1mpg.
