After it wipped out the competition in Paris Motor Show, Jaguar released the official prices for the new F-Type. The roadster will start at $69.000 in the United States. A bargain if we compare it with the UK starting price of 58.500 pounds, the equivalent of $94.400 or 73.200 euros.

The base version will be powered by the 340 horsepower V6. Those who want the supercharged version of the V6 will have to pay $81.000. And for those who can afford it, there is also the V8 version, which means $92.000 for 495 horsepower.

On the outside, the aluminum body evokes the E-Type in details like the center hood bulge and the line of the body and the rear flare. But inside, rather than now commonplace touch controls for everything, the heating and ventilation are old-fashioned rotary knobs.

Under the hood, there are two different supercharged engines: 3.0 liter V6 unit with 340 horsepower for the normal F-type and 380 horsepower for the S version, and a 5.0 liter V8 with 495 horsepower.

All versions are equipped with the new Stop/Start system to enhance fuel economy under certain driving conditions. The car accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 5.1 seconds for the base version, 4.8 seconds for the S model and 4.2 seconds for the V8 S.
