The all new generation Beetle is going on sale in UK, and for those of you who live there and are interested in purchasing one of these, you can place your orders starting from today, and should expect to receive your car in Spring 2012.
Available in three equipment grades and with two powering options at launch, the 2012 Volkswagen Beetle price starts at 16,490 GBP. The engines include a 105 PS 1.2-litre TSI that is matched with a 7-speed DSG gearbox and a 160 PS 1.4-litre TSI linked to a 6-speed manual.
Three other engine will be available for the new Volkswagen Beetle later in 2012, and those will be a 1.6-litre TDI unit with BlueMotion Technology rated at 105 PS, a 2.0-litre TDI developing 140 PS and a 2.0-litre TSI that will output 200 PS. A 6-speed manual transmission will also be introduced as an option for the 1.2-litre TSI engine later next year.
Standard features offered on the 2012 Volkswagen Beetle include air
conditioning, remote central locking, an RCD 310 CD system with DAB
radio and rear Isofix seat preparation and as move un in the range we get to the Design trim level which also includes 17 inch alloys, Bluetooth and iPod connectivity, a leather wrapped steering wheel, an upgraded CD/radio system as well as front fog lights.
As for the range topping Beetle Sport, on this version the automaker offers 18 inch alloy wheels, cruise control, sports seats,
parking sensors, gloss black door mirrors, dashboard and door panel and
2Zone electronic climate control.
