The French from Citroen have unveiled the 2012 C4 Aircross on Friday, with this new compact SUV scheduled to go on sale in Europe towards the end of next year.
Based on the Mitsubishi ASX, but featuring an exterior design typical to the French marque, the 2012 Citroen C4 Aircross is a car that measures 4.34 m length, 1.80 m width and 1.63 m height which wants to "introduces
a sense of escape into everyday driving".
The C4 Aircoss is also providing 442-litres worth of cargo space, while the engine range includes two petrols (110 HP 1.6-litre and a 150 HP 2.0-litre) and two diesels (a 110 1.6-litre and a 150 HP 1.8-litre).
The 1.6-litre petrol will only be offered on the FWD version, while the 2.0-litre petrol, which can be mated to either a 5-speed manual or a continuously variable
transmission (CVT),
will not be available in Europe probably due to its Euro4 emission rating.
According to the company the 2012 Citroen C4 Aircross will offer its occupants a true sense of well-being thanks to the raised driving position and the large panoramic glass roof, while in terms of design, some of the features that underline its off-roader presence include the sculpted horizontal lines and the aerodynamic vents as well as the wide wheel arches with the reduced front and rear overhangs.
Some of the standard features on the 2012 Citroen C4 Aircross will include touchscreen GPS navigation, reversing camera and USB/Bluetooth connectivity.
