The 2012 BMW 6 Series Convertible has recently been caught by spy photographers during a photo session, and rumors mention that this open top version will hit dealerships in March next year, before the coupe version.
The 2012 BMW 6 Series Convertible will be unveiled at the Detroit Motor Show in January and instead of a hard-top, like the one on the Z4 for example, the automaker has this time chosen a traditional fabric roof, which now only reduces production costs but also saves weight.
Engine options for the 2012 BMW 6 Series Convertible are expected to include a 6-cylinder twin-turbo diesel on the 640d, a 6-cylinder petrol on the 640i and a twin-turbo V8 petrol on the 650i. The 2012 BMW 6 Series Convertible 650i is going to pack somewhere around 500 bhp.
