After BMW used its first ArtCars to increase the popularity of the brand among younger audience, at the begining of the 80`s, Mercedes is following in its footsteps.

The Stuttgart-based manufacturer unveiled its own ArtCar based on the Mercedes CLA: The car was created with the help of German rapper CRO and was named CLA Street Style, as it depicts the work of a graffiti creator, not of an artist. The painting techniques also stands for its names: they used aerosol paint cans, paint pens and traditional paint.

Behind the graffiti we have a standard model that combines sporty AMG styling with AMG light-alloy wheels in 5-twin-spoke design and a twin exhaust system with chromed tailpipe trims. The multifunction sports steering wheel, flattened at the bottom, with perforations in the grip area, twelve ergonomic control buttons, seat heating and bi-xenon lighting options complete the list of equipment.

The creative process of creating a unique piece was documented on film. The making-of video and image material is available on the Stuttgart artist Facebook page under www.facebook.com/cromusic or www.mercedes-benz.de/cro to see.
