After it premiered at this year’s Paris Motor Show, the new 2013 Dacia Sandero is now available in the UK. According to Dacia officials we now have the most affordable car in the United Kingdom, as its starting price is only 5995 pounds.
 
For this bargain, the clients will receive 15” steel wheels, power assisted steering, a 60/40 split folding rear seat and even daytime running lights. There’s also pre-wiring for an accessory fit radio and speaker system too, which will be available to buy through official Dacia Retailers.
 
Among the safety features available in standard, the new Sandero includes ABS with Emergency Brake Assist, ASR traction control, ESC (Electronic Stability Control), driver, passenger and front side airbags and ISOFIX points in both outer rear seats.
 
Practical as well, the new Sandero offers one of the biggest boots in its class, at 320 litres to be exact, or at 1200 litres with the rear seats down.
 
For 600 pounds more, the clients will receive the second trim level, called Ambiance. This brings audio CD player with fingertip remote controls, USB and AUX input, Bluetooth, remote central locking, electric front windows, body coloured bumpers, 15” Colorado wheel trims and chrome surrounds for the air vents, instrument dials and steering wheel logo.
 
The new Sandero comes with three engines. The four-cylinder 1.2 petrol offers 75 hp and delivers 47.9 mpg on the combined cycle with CO2emissions of 137g/km.
 
The second engine for Dacia’s new supermini is the TCe 90. The 0.9-litre three-cylinder turbocharged unit is capable of 109 mph, with fuel economy of 54.3 mpg and CO2 emissions of just 120 g/km.
 
Rounding out the offer is the 1.5 liter dCi engine. The four-pot diesel has 90 hp and delivers 74.3 mpg with  well under 100 grams of CO2 per kilometer emissions.
