Mat Watson from Autoexpress went to Portugal, at the Portimao racing circuit in order to review the most expensive Jaguar money can buy at the moment, and that is the XKR S.
Priced at 97,000 GBP the Jaguar XKR S costs 18,500 GBP more than the regular XKR, so what does all the price difference really get you?
Well apart from a striking exterior finish, the XKR S comes with a carbon fiber body kit for added high speed stability, some extra sporty trim in the cabin and a free flowing exhaust system that enables the engine to sound more aggressive.
And speaking of the engine, Jaguar has raised the output on the XKR S’s 5.0-litre supercharged V8 to 542 bhp and 680 Nm of torque which means the car will do nought to 60 mph in 4.2 seconds and will also be capable of reaching 186 mph.
Also Jaguar engineers have re-tuned the XKR S’s suspension, so overall the car achieves a great balance between incredible handling, amazing pace and comfort. Even more, the XKR S delivers all the thrills of an Aston Martin DBS at almost half the price.
