The Vauxhall Insignia model sold under the Opel badge in the other European regions, is now also available with the automaker’s most powerful diesel engine – the 2.0-litre twin-sequential turbocharged diesel rated at 195 PS and 400 Nm of torque.
This engine will be fitted on the Vauxhall Insignia BiTurbo which will be available as a five door hatch or a Sports Tourer and in SRi, SRi Vx-line and Elite trim levels.
The Vauxhall Insignia BiTurbo starts at 27,120 GBP in the UK and apart from being with 35 PS and 50 Nm of torque more powerful, the car is now capable of sprinting from 0 to 60 mph in 8.2 seconds and will hit a top speed of 143 mph (230 Km/h).
Thanks to this diesel plant and eco features such as standard Start/Stop, the Insignia Biturbo is expected to return 57.6 mpg (combined/UK rating) / 4.9-litres per 100 Km while CO2 emission levels will be of just 129 grammes per Km.
The FlexRide adaptive damping system (a 790 GBP option on FWD versions) will also be offered as standard on all Insignia BiTurbo models.
