At the 2016 Paris Motor Show, the journalists managed to see lots of new cars and concepts. But they haven’t managed to see the pick-up truck concept developed by Mercedes-Benz. But, according to a recent press release, more details about this product will be offered later this month. 

In the same report, the German officials have detaled their strategic partnership with the Renault-Nissan Alliance. More than that we have found out that the pick-up will be manufactured at Renault’s plant in Cordoba, Argentina and Nissan’s factory in Barcelona Spain.

“In October, Mercedes-Benz will provide further insights into the new pickup truck’s design, strategy and markets”, is said in the statement.

So far we do know that the Mercedes-Benz pick-up will be focused on the European, Australian, SOuth African and Latin American markets and will be based on the Nissan Navara. More than that, the German pick-up will feature unique Mercedes-Benz design features. The model might be named GLT and it will be offered in various guises and specifications but the AMG version is unlikely to be seen. With more details we will come after the official unveiling.
