Kia Optima UK Price

The new Kia Optima is going on sale in the UK starting from February 1st, so for those who are interested in the company's new business market saloon, here is how much it will cost you.

The Kia Optima UK Price starts at 19,595 GBP and the car will only be available with one diesel engine in this part of the world, a 1.7-litre U2 turbodiesel rated at 134 bhp at 4,000 rpm and 325 Nm (239 lb-ft) of torque between 2.000 and 2,500 rpm.

Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic, with the manual versions featuring the automaker's Intelligent Stop & Go and aerodynamic drag-reducing measures while the automatics have an Active ECO button that alters the operation of the engine's ECU and the compression of the climate control system in order to lower consumption by around 9 percent.

The manual version Kia Optima returns 57.6 mpg (UK rating) and emits 128 grams pf CO2 per Km while the automatic achieves 47.1 mpg (UK rating) and has CO2 levels of 158 g/Km. The 0 to 60 mph acceleration time is 10.2 seconds in the manual version (11.5 in the automatic) while the top speed is 125 mpg and 122 mpg respectively.

In the UK the new Kia Optima will be sold with the 1,2 and 3 trim grades, with the mid-range 2 version offering a choice between Luxe or Tech variants.

On the standard features list customers will find alloy wheels, air conditioning, LED daytime running lamps, a leather wrapped steering wheel, Bluetooth with voice recognition and music streaming, steering wheel-mounted audio controls, electric windows and electric folding mirrors as well as cruise control and a speed limiter.
