Fiat and Chrysler will benefit from a new generation of the Uconnect system, the fourth since the 2003 launch of the multimedia system. The new interface will be available in the Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger and Dodge Challenger.

The new system includes performance improvements with faster startup time and enhanced processing power, a new 8.4-inch touchscreen that offers multi-touch gestures, sharper graphics and the ability to support smartphone integrations. There is Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support for those who need to keep their phones connected all the time.

The 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee’s Uconnect 8.4-inch touchscreen now includes Off-road Pages, allowing the driver to keep an eye on every aspect of their vehicle’s off-road capability and performance.

Drivers will be able to visually display vehicle information, including drivetrain (displays current steering angle, transfer-case position and rear differential lock if properly equipped), suspension (shows the wheel articulation for front and rear wheels and air suspension mode showcasing the current air suspension height of the vehicle), accessory gauges (monitors the basic essentials, including coolant temperature, oil temperature, transmission temperature, battery voltage and oil pressure readings) and Selec-Terrain (Auto mode, sand mode, mud mode, snow mode and rock mode can be viewed when Selec-Terrain is selected).

Each FCA vehicle comes equipped with a Uconnect system that provides drivers with a range of available communication, navigation, entertainment features and connected services.
