EVO’s founder, Harry Metcalfe has got a change to play with the new 2013 Mercedes G63 AMG in Germany.
He took the 137,504 Euro G-Wagon on twisty roads as well as on the autobahn to find out at what speed it will max out, and at the end hit conclusion was that the new G63 AMG is packed with monster horsepower, is a bit rubbish but is massive fun.
In case you need a reminder the 2013 G63 AMG uses a 5.5-litre V8, which you will definitely get to hear once you hit the play button, that produces 544 HP (400 kW) and 750 Nm of peak torque through a 7G-TRONIC transmission.
On paper this thing will go from 0 to 62 mph in 5.4 seconds and it will also attain a top speed of 130 mph. As far as economy, if we can call it that, its claimed figures are 20.4 (mpg, UK rating) in a combined cycle.
