After 4 years on the market, Fiesta needed a fresh new face. Ford knew that and introduced today a facelift for the small class hatchback.

Slated to debut at this year Paris Motor Show, the new Fiesta receives a new face, dominated by a big front grille, borrowed from his older and american brother Fusion. The bonnet was also redesigned, along with the headlamps. The LED daytime running lights and the newly designed alloy wheels round up the facelift.

For the interior, Ford redesigned the wheel, the cluster panel and some climate control buttons. The clients will also find a repositioned command panel for the electric mirrors and windows.

Inside the cabin, Ford uses for the first time on the european market the new SYNC system. This enables owners to voice-active phone calls and music selection from devices connected via Bluetooth or USB. SYNC also uses Emergency Assistance to connect the vehicle occupants to local emergency services operators after an accident.

Last but not the least, Fiesta comes equipped with Active City Stop, a system designed to help avoid low speed collisions.

Under the bonnet Ford is likely to introduce the new 1.0 liter Ecoboost engine, awarded with the ”International Engine of the Year 2012” distinction.
