Wellthe most fuel-efficient Malibu ever will carry a price tag of 25,995 USD (including the 760 USD charge in taxes and fees), and as you may already know, the car comes fitted with the autmoaker's eAssist propulsion system which will enable consumption figures of 26 mpg in thecity and 38 mpg on the highway.
The 2013 Chevrolet Malibu Eco uses a 2.4-litre Ecotec engine with direct fuel injection rated at 182 HP (135 kW) which is linked to a lithium-ion battery and an electric motor-generator that help regenerate energy through braking. The Malibu Eco is also equipped with a 6-speed automatic transmission with Start Stop functionality, and among the rest of the features that help maximize efficiency GM has also added an
aluminium bonnet and rear bumper beam, an Eco gauge that encourages efficient-driving and 17 inchlow-rolling-resistance tires.
The standard content list on the 2013 Chevrolet Malibu Eco includes 8 airbags, a rearview camera system and various safety systems as well as air conditioning, an audio system with a 7-inch in diagonal colour touch screen, Bluetooth and USB connectivity, SiriusXM Satellite Radio, Cruise Control and power windows.
On the outside the 2013 Malibu Eco features active grilleshutters, projector beam headlamps with exterior lamp control, heated/body-coloured mirrors and acoustic-laminated, solar-absorbing glass plus windshield wipers with structureless blades.
TheMalibu Eco is also available with four equipment packages called Package 1 - Power Convenience; Package 2 – Premium Audio; Package 3 – Leather; and Package 4 – Navigation.
