Engine Specifications

Across all variants of the 2014 Audi A7 there are two engine variants. The specifications of the engines are more or less similar, with a few outstanding differences. First and foremost, both the engines are V-type. One runs on gas and the other one on diesel. The gas and diesel engine both have six cylinders and a capacity of 3 liters. One may be led to believe that these engines will not perform quite well. However, Audi has already taken care of the performance rating.

Both these engines have an assisted aspiration system. The diesel engine is equipped with an intercooled turbocharger system. On the other hand, the gas engine is equipped with an intercooled supercharger. This gives both variants of the car immense power.

Performance Ratings

Neither engine provides a poor gas mileage, although the diesel engine does give you more miles to a gallon. The turbocharged diesel engine variant is rated to give you as much as 24 miles to a gallon in the city and 38 on the highway. In addition to the spectacular mileage, this engine produces 240 horses and 428 pounds of torque. The gas engine is not far behind. It produces 310 horses and 325 pounds of torque. However, the gas mileage of the petrol engine is lower than the diesel.

If you drive the petrol driven 2014 Audi A7 you will get as much as 18 miles to a gallon in the city. Highway driving will get you a much better gas mileage in this car. If you are driving on the highway, you can get as much as 28 miles to a gallon.

Transmission Types

The transmission in the 2014 Audi A7 is uniform regardless of the type of fuel the engine requires. The standard transmission in the Audi A7 is an 8-speed automatic. However, it is not as simple as it seems. This auto transmission is equipped with a Tiptronic facility. In addition, the transmission comes with a Dynamic Shift Program or DSP. If you want to push your ride to the limit, you can turn on the sports program. With just a flick of the button, the car will go from a daily driving family sedan to a race monster.

Interior Styling

The best part about the 2014 Audi A7 is its interior. The problem with most cars nowadays is that the interior is too fancy. However, Audi interiors are more along the lines of elegant and classy rather than fancy. Each and every aspect of the interior of the 2014 Audi A7 boasts quality and comfort. The seats are leather. Regardless of whether you are sitting in the front seat or the back, you are sure to be comfortable. This car is ideal for a small family as it can only seat four passengers. The boot of the car is quite spacious so you won’t have to worry about storing cargo.

Exterior Design

If there is one thing that makes an Audi stand out, it is the exterior appearance. Each and every aspect of the car has been styled to perfection. It is aerodynamic and absolutely beautiful. The best feature of the exterior is LED strip across the headlamps. It gives a unique appearance to the front end of the car. The smoothly crafted back end mellows down the aggressive front end appearance of the 2014 Audi A7.
