In its simplicity, the all-new 2017 Audi A4 is amazing. A great exterior, powerful engine power, and flashy technology combine to create a luxurious ambiance that Audi can be proud to deliver. It is not evolutionary in nature, but rather a consistent follow-up sedan that fits perfectly into the line of quality automobiles produced by Audi. The most amazing aspect of the car is the software on the inside. Almost every available piece of technology for driver comfort and traffic safety has been added to the A4. As a result, it comes dangerously close to being a self-driving car. Continue reading to learn more!

Exterior design

The Audi A4 looks almost identical to the previous Audi models. Sharp LED or bi-xenon headlights replace the larger incandescent headlights that were previously used, and they look much better. A medium-sized grille with “four rings of Audi” right above the nameplate space adorns the center of the car’s face.

On the side, there are the familiar long wheelbases, which are responsible for the car’s spacious feel. The side windows and doors are long and sleek, elegant and aerodynamic. The Audi A4‘s back end is even more familiar. Two chromed-up and gleaming exhaust pipes on the left side of the car.

Interior design

Inside, the A4 has a well-polished design that functions just as well as it looks. The A4 features a virtual cockpit with a 1440 x 540 LCD screen. The graphics are so sharp that it doesn’t appear to be an electronic display at all. The driver can easily customize the display to show only the details he or she wants to see and where they want to see them.

Audi places a premium on driver comfort. They believe that luxury should not only be visible, but should also be felt. As a result, there are adjustable front seats and a spacious back seat that can accommodate two adults or three children. The third seat belt is, of course, present in the interior. The steering wheel is daring, sporty, and has excellent grip and durability. It is supported by a magnesium frame, which is a very strong material.

Finally, Audi created an excellent ambiance lighting system with thirty different light settings to choose from. You can transform your car into a gleaming nightclub or a cozy, homey atmosphere.

Engine specs

The standard 2017 Audi A4 will have a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. It has a 252 horsepower engine and is front-wheel drive. With the same engine, all-wheel drive is also available. This engine can reach 60 mph (100 kph) in 5.6 seconds! Later in the year, Audi will introduce a lower entry-level 2.0 liter engine as well as a 2.0 liter diesel engine. A 7-speed dual-clutch transmission will be used.

Tech specs

The real advantage of the Audi A4 2017 is its technology, beginning with the driver assistance features.

To begin with, the standard Audi A4 2017 will include a camera on the windshield. This camera detects an impending collision with a car, pedestrian, or objects in front of it. When the driver does not respond, the car either warns the driver until the danger passes or automatically brakes.

The 2017 Audi A4 also has an infotainment system. There are three TFT displays with sharper images and larger icons than previously. The amazing virtual cockpit includes navigation, so the driver only needs to look down to see where he is on the map and where he needs to go. The software in the car can be operated by voice and can even understand people who are vocally challenged. The car includes a three-year subscription to Audi Connect Services as well as a DVD player.

Safety features

When the driver turns into a lane, Turn Assist detects oncoming traffic and automatically stops the vehicle to avoid danger. The same is true for Exit Assist, which warns the driver before opening the door if a car or cyclist is approaching from the front or rear. The A4 can park itself using the Park Assist feature.

Audi Connect is an optional feature for the 2017 Audi A4. This includes, among other things, emergency services and a smartphone app that displays vehicle health reports, allows remote locking and unlocking, and provides a parking spot locator.

The following features are most likely the most appealing to commuters. However, because some of the options are only compatible with automatic transmission, they are unlikely to be included in the standard Audi A4 2017. Active Lane Assist maintains the vehicle’s position between the lane markings. Stop & Go Active Cruise Control drives the car automatically, and the driver only needs to steer the car to the desired location. It gets even better when the driver combines these two driver assistance options, because the car then brakes, accelerates, and steers itself! Ideal for driving in heavy traffic, where stopping and starting repeatedly consumes a significant amount of energy and focus.

When driving in these modes, the 2017 Audi A4 looks at road markings, street signs, and the traffic ahead. It makes use of signals from two radar sensors, ultrasound sensors, and a front camera. This mode ends when the car reaches 40.4 mph (65 kmh), when there is no more heavy traffic, or when a sharp curve is ahead. The driver must then take control of the steering wheel. The Active Cruise Control, on the other hand, continues to function and maintains speed and interval until the A4 reaches its top speed of 155.3 mph (250 kmh).
